I'm dating this guy who is a navy seal. He has told me that as part of his training he had to undergo "interrogation resistance" training (or something like that). He said that during one of the exercises, several of them were tied down in only their pants - bare chest and bare feet - to padded tables and were tickled by senior officers until someone broke. He said their underarms, stomachs and feet were tickled mercilessly until one of them shouted the 'code word' for surrender. Not until then would the tickling stop on any of them. He said this took place over a couple of days and each time the tickling went on for 2 or 3 hours non-stop. Apparently, guys who aren't ticklish were removed to do some substitute exercise.
I know this guy is pretty damn ticklish. He can't stand it actually, especially his feet. So this must have been hard for him. He said that he wasn't supposed to be discussing it.
My question is, has anyone heard of such a training, or is he making this up?

Ok yes i have gone through this type of training. I cannot say where when what branch anything all i can tell you is that he is not lying. This training is meant to be hard it is meant to break your mind and they do this to you to prepare you for the worse. The enemy will try and not stop at anything inorder to get what they want out of you. This training is helping to save thier lifes before they actually go into the field. First they break you then they build you up and try to do it again and if you dont break then the training worked they can and will break you the first time no matter who you are they are good!!!! But the reason for this is to train you on how not to break so they break you then build you back up and your good to go!!

Fascinating! Makes perfect sense. I can say from experience that pain I can take a lot of, but tickling is absolutely excruciating! After a few minutes I will do or say anything to make it stop, and I have known several other guys like that, so it would be a perfect form of torture to a guy who is very ticklish. It leaves no marks, very rarely causes death, yet makes the victim wildly hysterical. I bet somebody could lose their mind if tickled too long, so I say YES I'll bet it's true.

Well, Resistance Training is something they do in the armed forces. My BF is in the Air Force and he said they will do the same thing to him if he is deployed where they will lock him in a cell and teach him how to deal with pain...AKA torture him. Now, tickling is a way of torturing someone, it's just deeper pain so you laugh as a reaction rather than screaming because your body doesn't know what to do. I really doubt he's making this up.
Good luck. I hope this helps.

I cannot confirm that but It would not surprise me. During WWII, there were reports that the Japanese used extreme tickle torture to gain information. If somebody is too ticklish and they are being tickled so long and so hard that they cannot breath, it hurts and they possibly wet themselves, they might break.
I once had a friend who had an incredibly high pain tolerance. He could handle almost any pain. But If I were to tickle him, he would jump 3 miles high!. If somebody held him down and tickled him, he would squirm and flail wildly while laughing himself into an asthma attack. He could handle the pain but he would break with tickling.
Have fun tickling your bf!

It sounds as if somebody's been visiting some interesting Web sites...
Actually it might not be such a bad thing if it were true, given the difficulties of funding the military. They could make and sell DVDs of this training, which could allow for a lot of budget cuts. Think how patriotic one would feel buying them...

A Turkish interrogator told me a method used to gain information is tickling and two interrogators so one tires the other continues or they alternate. Effective with each concentrating on a foot or armpit or one tickling both armpits and the other simultaneously the feet. Able to be done with breaks for hours and amusing for the interrogators themselves. Also effective used as sleep deprivation technique he told me!

its krap the standard is to remove someone and tell them all the other guy told the secret word and all of them are going to be freed after a good meal then they separate them and deprive them of sleep and keep them standing and disoriented then with white noise and so on and everyone tells everyone breaks thats why the CIA give people a true story thats false as a cover to reveal after a few days ,,

It's BS. First, SEAL training/torture doesn't include gay stuff like this. Second, most of SEAL training is classified.
