Funny how humans think that they have tamed the cat, when, of course, it's really the other way round.
Dogs have masters.
Cats have staff.

Hey,
I have actually been in your position before. I had a very, very tame cat that wasnt very active. She was very healthy, though. It usually has nothing to do with a sickness. All cats have different personalities. Dont worry about it. Thats just how she expresses herself and it sounds like she's a deep thinker. If you want more info or have more questions, you can sign up for my Nature's Chatuea free Pet Newsletter. Simply email breederspecialist@yahoo.com and I will get back to you explaining the benefits of the newsletter.
Thanks,
Beverly

I wish my kitty was a LITTLE tamer, she is always so playful and hardly ever wants to be pet. She just runs around and plays all the time. It has to do with geneitcs I guess, the same with people. Some people are just calm, and others are NOT! Like me, I am so impatient....it's unreal!
Mine also taps me on the shoulder when I am sleeping....tap tap tap....til I wake up and play with her. She has BITTEN me on the face to wake me up too. GOOD thing I love the little cutey!

Honey, you have a sweet tempered cat. Don't complain or worry about it. Mine are totally different. One male is sweet also, one male meows like gravel being ground up...all the time..the female..is sweet also except she just wants to go outside all the time (even tho she is spayed)....so go figure....cats are as different in personality as all us humans.........BUT THEY ARE WONDERFUL PETS..!!!!!!

There's a breed of cat, the ragdoll, that shows those traits in their personality. Is your cat a ragdoll? If it is, then that explains much.

i really don't know. why is my cat so bitchy? She is a beautiful orange tabby, but i think she tries to kill me. On more than one occasion, she has jumped on my chest while i was sleeping, like some kind of succubus.

Consider yourself blessed...I hate going into houses of people that own those psychotic, hyper cats who claw everything.
