God's creation is evidence of His existence. And that evidence is available to everyone.

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE (emphasis added)."

No, I have not looked all over the universe, but according to religious teaching even if I did I wouldnt find him. He is not on the pysical plane, but spiritual according to believers.

I'm not going to become an agnostic and say there is a 50% chance God exists and a 50% chance he doesn't.

With the evidence available, it's more like a 99.99% chance ANY god doesn't exists and a 0.01% chance any god does, and so I am an atheist since I live my life by the 99.99% chance.

Have you looked all over the universe for the FSM? No, but are you a FSM agnostic? Probably not... you're probably an atheist towards him, and Zeus, and Odin, and Amun-Ra, and Baal, etc etc... because the chances of any of them existing is so low as to be ridiculous.

When you see why you are atheist towards those gods, you'll see why we are atheist to YHWH.

How can you say there is no Flying Spaghetti Monster?

How can you say there is no Invisible Pink Unicorn?

How can you say there is no Celestial Teapot?

How can you say there is no Shiva? or Allah?... etc etc etc...

Have you looked all over the universe for THEM?

Why don't you become an Agnostic instead or take up pantheism?

When you really understand the answer to those questions, you will understand that atheists are just not agnostic about one less god.

It is, by the way, a logical impossibility to say that something does not exist. Any proof of the non-existance of something is fallacious. That is why the burden of proof is always on proving whether or not something DOES exist.

Why would you have to look all over the universe? When we can see right here that there is no evidence of your silly god fantasy. Must not be a good god if he has to hide himself or evidence he exists in far out remote places. Such a rather pathetic god you suck teet to.

And by asking this question, it is clear you don't have any evidence for him, so you have no logical or rational reason to believe in him.

I am a Christian student of presuppositional apologetics and I am not trying to dissuade the intent of your question but you might want to reconsider your idea of an atheist. Not all atheists claim that there is no God in an absolute sense, only that they do not believe there is a God and it is not neccessarily based on any effort to check out the facts of whether or not God exists, but only that they choose not to believe and do not spend alot of time examining the presuppositions of His existence because they do not see the relevance to their existential existence. An agnostics on the other hand is one who makes more of an honest appraisal in believing that we have no way of knowing whether God exists or not.

Free Will...I guess that would be their answer to your question.

God Bless

no one can prove anything one way or the other, you either believe or you dont believe and both is fine. everyone dies in the end. o and can anyone tell me what they expect god to be or not to be. people say he created the universe and this could be true i mean the universe couldnt have come from nothing unless thier was 2 universe 1 with positive energy and one with negative energy then that would equal zero or nothing. but then where did energy come from. no one knows for sure and if you say you do know for sure your an a s s hole. i say just live in the mystery and live your life.

Heh hee, this is a good one. I think that if people would really think about all the knowledge and all the knowledge that has not surfaced yet, they could understand that maybe their knowledge is only a very small dot compared to all the knowledge in this universe.

It is kind of hard to know God if people refuse the Holy Spirit which enables us to see things differently. : )

Because no one can help what they believe. How can you say "There is no Shiva, Zeus, Apollo, Brahma", have you looked all over the universe for them? Besides no one can search all over the universe. Prove in what you believe in and maybe they will change their mind but then again people have the right to believe what they liked and their beliefs cannot be proved or disproved.

If there is no evidence of a god and also no evidence there is no god it would make sense to me that no one actually knows the answer. Atheists or christians.

Your question can be also asked "Religious people: How can you say there is a god?"

Proclaiming either statement as fact is equally absurd.

Many say there is no God because they do not choose to want to answer to anyone but themselves, to give themselves glory in all they do, and to conform life to what they want it to be instead of God's plan.

God made a huge change in me, opened my eyes to things I doubted, and strengthens me daily. I was one of the biggest doubters there was.... and He broke thru my stubborness and revealed Who He truly is!
