I will not give you a Smart-A answer or even try to convince you that I'm a religious person that agrees with you 100%. I will not lie about my belief and I will not pander to your own. What I will do is tell you what I think about your statement with as much dignity as I can so as not to upset you as others have done.
Personally I do believe in a Supreme Being but perhaps not as you do. I do believe we could not live and breath without this deity. But I would say I was religious, I am more of a spiritual person. If you look at how scientist believe the universe came in existence you will find many holes. It would be impossible for something to come into existence from nothing. No matter how anyone believes they must agree that there had to be something in existence for the universe to exist. You believe in God. I assume by that you mean Jehovah. And since you believe in Jehovah you most likely believe in angels, Heaven, Hell, Jesus and all that ties into this religion. I applaude you for your belief and your willingness to be derailed by others as you testify of your faith.
I do believe in a Supreme Being and I do believe He/She created all that exists. But my belief does not include Heaven and Hell. I personally believe that we will all exist in an after life of some sort but I'm not sure what that may be. To be completely honest neither do you. If you did you would not need faith. ''Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.''
So, to keep this from sounding like a sermon I will cut short my answer and say ... No one could live and breath without the existence of a Supreme Being who created all things. If you chose to continue this discussion and learn more about how I personally believe I would gladly do so. Just send me an email. We can talk about the bible and science.
Athiest, Agnostics, those who are spiritual and even Christians need to learn to live in harmony with one another because for as long as this Earth exists there will always be some of all I mentioned.
Be true to your faith, just don't expect others to have the same belief. If you do and you are so closed minded as to not allow others to have their own opinions then you will always be pushed aside and persecuted by the greater majority of those you speak to. AND, if you are a christian it is essential to your own salvation to ove all men. You may not agree with them all but it is your christian duty to love your fellow man as Christ did. He did not come to save those who believed but to save those who were lost. He ate and drank with sinners daily so that he may tell them of His way to salvation. Do not push your belief on others but also do not let others be a stumbling stone to you.
I was once a well known minister in my Christianic faith but have learned of another way which I chose to believe.
If you are a christian then you must know this scripture.
Luke 5:32 - ''I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.''
How many will be called to repentance if you begin speaking to them as though they were any less than you. We were all created equally, no matter how you believe and we are all sinners. Give respect and you will receive respect. All I'm trying to say is very simple, if you want to talk to someone about salvation you must first understand that your own salvation came at a price. That price was the sacrifice of Jesus who loved all men. He said, ''Greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down his life for a friend.'' He did not lay down his life for you or I alone, he did so for all men and christians have a responsibility to ''Go out into all the world and preach the gospel, they who believeth and are baptized shall be saved.'' It may be your responsibility to spread the word, just don't try to beat down those who refuse to listen. You will gain nothing by doing so.
OK , OK , I got a little preachy there but I wanted you to know that I am not ignorant of the bible and what it teaches. Spread the seed of the gospel but don't expect all your seeds to fall on good ground, some will fall by the wayside and some will fall on the rocky ground.

What is really ironic is that JackBauer here has been doing it his entire life!
Or maybe he believed in god right at birth and that's why he cried after taking his first breath. He knew even then that he would lead a blind and futile life hiding behind some mythological being.

If a atheist would try to breathe without God they would merely not exist. Because it is God who breathe into our spirit and make us live.

confident we are in a position to respire without help. i will even grant an assertion which shows your hypothesis to be fake. human beings of many different religions than yours additionally breathe without believing what you have faith, as a result your God isn't mandatory.

I wouldn't do anything with or without God, because God has not taken a form I can recognize, or else maybe we could hang. Only though if he/she/it likes to watch TV and get high, then we could be friends. But if God is going to be 'all preachy' then God can go f- himself.

I do it every day.
I tried it with God once and it took me a week to get the stench out of my nostrils.
Smelled like camel dung.
