Yes I understand. It might be able to do a 180 but as an about face to have a "closed mind"?

I don't think so. I imagine a person now with their arms folded and a pout.............sounds a little stubborn; which I am not about things that make sense to me. I interpret this as standing strong on something with principle and character rather than being close minded.

I'm still here and you have effectively destroyed a potentially productive afternoon. Thank you. I needed the break. Yet another mind bending question, eh?

I've rolled this over a dozen times in my mind and can't come up with a decent argument for or against. So I'd say I'm stuck. But I'll be thinking about this until I can come up with a satisfactory explaination one way or the other.

What do you say? Do you have a theory?

Ahhhh....I love the sound of minds snapping...The result you are describing is an "infinitely open mind" the Zen Buddhists call it "no-mind" and it is, for them the highest achievement of meditation. This mind IS "closed" to preconception or opinion, but it is not easy to achieve. Many devotees spend decades to gain the ability to reach this level of awareness.

A few hours of Demonic torment in the deepest pits of hell, or a visit with your in-laws can put you in that blessed state much more quickly though.

Sounds like a mind turning itself inside-out. Given a mind represented by a sphere. ;)

Wow you have a way of playing with words rotflmao. It's a good question. And the answer to that is that there might be some people who end up doing that and in the process end up outsmarting themselves.
