Because it is fiction. Also it contradicts known reliable witnesses. Also because Thomas did not really write it. The first century Christians knew that and when a list of commonly accepted writings was compiled in 180 AD, before there were any Roman Catholics, the so-called gospel of Thomas was left out.

It is an apocryphal book. Meaning that the Holy Spirit revealed it false in the hearts of Christians who put the books together in the Holy Bible.

As a Christian, I can read the book & discern where the errors are in it. Because I have read the bible with the Holy Spirit confirmation. And what the Holy Spirit has shown me in Gods Word is quickened in me. So when I read something contrare to Gods Saving Grace in another gospel other than the Lords, then the Holy Spirit gives me discernment in it. This is following after the Spirit.

You obviously read something contrare to the word of God, & the examples you write are two examples that the book is apocryphal.

No. It is not a atrue Book of the Bible and those ppl knew it, and it was left out. JEsus is none of those things, the devil is behind this stuff. Why do you choose to believe such awful about the God who loves you so much that He wants only to love you and save you? Wasnt Jesus death on the cross enough.?? Now you put in more nails to Jesus by speaking s you do. May God forgive you.

The "Infancy Gospel of Thomas" was written by a "Thomas the Isrealite" which does not speculate who the actual Author really is. So therefore, it is not included. And even the scripture is under scrutiny. And if you read it, it is a bunch of balogny. A forgery.

As some have already stated, it was a work of fiction with an unknown author. It was not even considered for Canon at the African Synods that decided the Canon of Scriptures in the late fourth and early fifth century. It had nothing to do with its content.

it is because there is no reason to believe the book of THomas is authentic, it is likely part of the bitter fruits of the crusades

in the book of THomas, Jesus says Mary Magdalene would have to become a man to be saved?????? MAJOR RED FLAG???

like many of the so called Gnostic gospels, these false gospels claim to be written by a big name apostle but the substance and the witness of the early church speaks otherwise
