Hmmm...
Semantically, it’s just a play on words.
NO. ie. “DO NOT tolerate intolerance” is simply intolerance.
YES. ie. “tolerate intolerance” is simply tolerance.

Ethically, it depends on the intolerance. (Moral question)
NO. If the intolerance hurts or affects people negatively.
YES. If the intolerance does not hurt or affect others.

Using "Freedom of Speech" as an example, in the U.S.A.
this is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution.
Vile expression CAN hurt people thus many countries have
laws pertaining to “hate speech” which can lead to even
worse things. (Violence - genocide, war etc.)

It comes down to People and how we value each other.

That depends in the type of intolerance. Assassins are intolerant or not?

That's such a good question. I find myself feeling intolerant of intolerant people and consider them ignorant, offensive and judgmental, yet I am judging them.

You really don't have a choice. You can't make someone tolerant. You can debate, argue, harangue and cry, but if they are determined to be bigoted nothing you do or say can change that.

If you don't want to be intolerable toward the intolerant people then yes. But I say we attack them with their own weapon!

Technically yes, because if we don't then we are being hypocrites, aren't we. It's a nice little Catch 22.

If it's simply speech, yes. If it's more than that and harming people in any way (discrimination in the workplace, codified into law, etc.) no.

No. We need to vaporize the entire M.E. with a neutron bomb now. Right now. A little fallout never hurt anyone.

Yes.

Free speech is just that --- free.

If the Nazis want to march in my home town, I will fight to secure their right to march -- and be there to hold my sign protesting their march, peacefully and silently.

If the KKK wants to march in my home town, I will fight to secure their right to march -- and be there to hold my sign protesting their march, peacefully and silently.

"I do not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it."
