i LOVE life, BUT sometimes its just so REPETITIVE. im not saying i have it bad, because i don't. I JUST WANT TO KNOW, how do YOU, THE READER keep a positive outlook on life. maybe RELIGION(tried it), SUPPORT GROUPS(tried it...AM, AA), etc. because i tried a lot of stuff already. OR maybe because of my age of 21. it's a weird age to be at 21 trying to get ready to get a real job and all. USEFUL ANSWERS PLEASE. thank you.

I see a shrink, just to talk things out with someone who can't say CRAP to anyone else.
To end the monotomy, I take random little mini trips (to like a random different city for a day.
I stopped giving a crap about a "real job" and i guess one came around, although I know in my mind I can switch careers if a dam :) well please.
And I go to a non-donomination church that is HUGE where I can do little different things and hang out in different groups.
Also I took a cooking class. Cause (and don't make fun, it sounds stupid) it really makes me feel better knowing that in all the boring day to day, SSDD things in my life I can pull all these little pieces together and make something kick *** that impresses people. (Alot of people can't cook)
Try different things, you will find something that clicks

Ach! Struggling with life issues is what we're here for!

The way I look at life is we are here to learn particular lessons in life, to each others (mostly through our bad examples) and to learn from others (what NOT to do through others' bad examples). The reason I have found life repetitive is because I have not learned particular lessons. I keep going into the same stuff over and over until I learn the lesson, change my behavior, and move on.

Life is a sandbox where we humans get to play. Do you play nicely? Do you share? Do you learn your lessons and then move on to others? That's where the excitement is. THat's why we humans love coming back here--to play in the sandbox.

Why do you feel that you need to get a "real" job? Why don't you create jobs for others? Why not develop unique and useful skills and contract them out to others? Why limit yourself to what most others do? It's your sandbox--you get to build the type of castle you want in it.

Improving one's life is not what most people think it is. Mostly, it's keeping yourself in integrity (doing what's right--even when it's hard, and no one's looking). That is a vast improvement that more people should take on!

it sounds to me that you dont have "not saying you dont or trying to be a smart a** or anything" enough friends maybe you dont get a kick out of the simple things in life try to relax your only 21 it sounds like you have it easy... go to college find something you love doing and take full advantage of it like fixing old cars or riding your bike try to get something done everyday so when you lay down to sleep at night you feel like you have made yourself a better person or helped someone just set small goals for yourself daily like finish a chapter in a book hope this helps. good luck

hey im only 19 but heres some things i like to do when im feeling the daily grind bring me down.

1. Escape! go somewhere with your good friends. It doesn't have to be that far but enough that its different from where u are...camping,snowboarding,a night in the city etc
2. Workout. Its gets your mind off things, gets you in shape, and releases endorphins which make u happy!
3. This one might sound weird but reading a good book seems to help me out. I don't know what it is but getting consumed in a good book does wonders for me.

Hope i helped u out!

Know that harship and bad days can be best thing you can ever have and that what you wish for may be the worst. Think different. Seek your reason for being and god outside what you have come Religion to mean. No true, lasting fulfillment can be attained without this.

Break it down. Figure out what specifically is bothering you and set a goal to change that item. Set smaller goals and goal achievement dates so that you don't get overwhelmed trying to achieve a big goal. Remember to reward yourself at each achievement so that you want to keep achieving more.
