I have been told it does exist, and is very reputable. I have a strange feeling about this place. Am I right??

If you received an e-mail with this information claiming you won anything, the e-mail is a scam. It doesn't matter if the bank exists. They did NOT send the e-mail.

Sorry, this simply does not exist, whether its spelt guaranty or guarantee. Looks like your strange feeling was right!

I wouldn't trust anywhere concerned with banking that can't spell 'Guarantee'. Why not put your money in the Halifux?

I just googled it and the only mention was your question! I suspect that tells you all you need to know. Try Borklays or Notionwide?
