My junior/senior prom is rapidly approaching and unfortunately I have no date at the moment. My question is, "How or what is the best way to approach a girl to ask her to go?" I do have a specific girl in mind but I am not dead set on her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I say you act as soon as possible.
My school is having prom soon, too.
I saw lots of guys turned down, not just because, but because the girls were already taken!!!
If you have a girl in mind, then just go for it!! ^^
If it was me, I would be more likely to say yes to someone who sent a letter and something extra that's cute~
I didn't like it when I was confronted face-to-face.
Find out what classes she has, and leave it with the teacher.
There was this one time in band, when this guy asked the band teacher to announce his homecoming invitation to this one girl--to the entire class!! She was so surprised, but she was definitely overjoyed!

If I were you, I would get a rose and give it to her when you ask her to go with you. Hand her the pink, white or yellow rose and ask her "I would be honored if you would attend the prom with me" Then wait and see what she does. If she says no, then she says no. At least you were a gentleman and she knows you put some thought into it.

well do you think shell say yes? do something reeeeeeeally sweet. like write on a wall, with chalk, that she might drive by, and ask will you go to prom with me? ooooor go to her house light a bunch of candles and put rose petals around and ask her. or bake her a cake and take her on a picnic. do something romantic! she wont say no!

If you don't have a date, and you have a girl in mind, why haven't you asked her yet? It seems to me that this late in the game, you don't have a lot of options.

Ask.That is the simplest approach,but the one with the greatest risk.But,the worst that can happen is that she'll say no.But you'll have your answer.

talk to her face to face and get her flowers or chocolate but do not act retarded ask her sraight forward
