I got a sunburn pretty bad last Sunday, I was really red until about Thursday. I am now peeling severely, and very itchy, but I am having really bad chills. I am shivering, can it be from the sunburn still?

Yes it can cause chills. Your skin is trying to heal and the burn must have been pretty bad for you to be peeling. If you have any swelling or if the chills persist go to your Dr.

I experienced a sun burn/sun screen reaction last year that almost landed me in the hospital as my legs from my toes to my hips swelled and I could barely walk. I started to develop blister and ended up on 3 different meds.

Sun burn is not something to fool around with. Your body is still radiating heat and you need to keep an eye on it.

yes it can. Sun burns are classified as a partial thickness burn, or a 1st degree burn. With a burn like this the epidermis of your skin is effected. Blisters causes by burns are from your cells literally popping, this exposes nerve endings, since your skin is still peeling it hasn't totally regenerated yet, so the nerves are still exposed. So their hypersensitive. Any change in environment could give you the chills.

This situation needs to be evaluated by your dr. They can help you try to figure out if it's because of that sunburn or something else going on.

It can definetely be from the sunburn, you should go see your physician. Sunburn poisoning can occur with severe sunburns, and repeated sunburns. Until you go, try taking some pain relievers, and a warm oatmeal bath (Aveeno sells packets), but please go soon!

WTF is sun poisoning? You mean heat stroke or exhaustion? Those do not last days.

Your sunburn could be causing that.
