there was one parked in front of the civic buildings in southampton but sadly no longer there. Seemed a great idea, now being replicated by the Osprey/Boeing tilt rotor etc.

Check out this site, an interesting story. But the only replication with the Osprey is that they are both aircraft

I used to have an Airfix model of one. Never saw the one at Southampton though. When was it there?
