If you sear it in a fry pan for a few minutes on each side and then place it in the oven it should only take about 25 minutes.
Check that they are cooked through, no pink juices. Different oven produce different results so you will have to learn how yours manages

Chicken thighs are more flavorful and more juicy than the other parts of the chicken! The bone also enhances the flavor, but will also need a bit more cooking time. To make great thighs:
Marinate thighs overnight in Italian dressing
Place in baking dish and sprinkle with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
Cover, and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
Pierce meat nearest the bone. If the juice is clear, then the meat is cooked, if its still red, then cover and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Take thighs out and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and let sit for 15 minutes before cutting. Enjoy!~

Lemon Garlic Chicken Thigh
Ingredients:
1/4 c. Fresh lemon juice
2 tbs Molasses
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 Garlic cloves, chopped
8 Chicken thighs, skinned
Cooking spray
Salt and Pepper
Prep:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a dish, and add chicken. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 1 hour, turning occasionally.
2. Preheat oven to 425
3. Remove chicken from marinade; reserve. Arrange chicken in a shallow roasting pan coated with cooking spray. Pour the reserved marinade over chicken and sprinkle with S & P. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes; baste chicken with marinade. Bake an additional 15 - 20 minutes, or until done.
Notes:
The preparation time includes marinating for one hour -- they also could be marinated ahead of time overnight, or in the morning. If you use boneless, cooking time will be less.

I usually flour mine (season the flour with salt. pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder) and then bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit on a well-greased cookie sheet with sides. There should be a good coating of oil on the cookie sheet; use about 2-3 tablespoons of oil and spread it around evenly. Bake the chicken for 30 minutes, turn each piece over and bake another 30 minutes. This gives you a 'fried' chicken without too much grease and without too much mess. I generally remove the skin before doing this -- about 1/3 of the fat in chicken is in the skin -- but it's not necessary.

Chicken thighs do take longer to cook. Maybe you can bake them with some barbeque sauce, or try some shake n bake for chicken. If you want some good cooking websites I would recommend allrecipes.com or recipezaar.com.

Barbecue, barbecue. Use Barbecue Sauce with seasonings as marinade for at least three hours prior to baking for about an hour per six. They are great! My favorite is K.C. Masterpiece Hickory. Yum!
