The catch is that the book of Revelation is the last book of the Bible. Did this book come from God?
I think that the prophets can receive messages from the other side too. For example, Daniel 10-12.
Any spiritual creature that wants everybody to know how bright and shiny it is as a way of saying which side it belongs to is a Liberace being, I think. See 2 Corinthians 11:14 - And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
Compare Daniel 10:1-6 and Revelation 1:13-16. In Revelation 22:6, the angel says that he represents the Lord God. This is typical of angels that operate their own charts in relation to human affairs (see Sylvia Browne's Book of Angels). It seems strange that this being says that there are others who "keep the words of this book". He was only just saying it to the apostle John then when he said it. The Book of Revelation hadn't been written yet! However, there are many books mentioned in the Bible, such as the Book of Jasher, that don't make it into the regular Bible canon. Why would an angel representing a God of love say what's in verse 11? "Let those who do wrong continue to do wrong; let those who are vile continue to be vile; let those who do right continue to do right; and let those who are holy continue to be holy."
Verse 12 reiterates Revelation 1:17, 18. Verse 16 again raises the question of the origin of the name Jesus versus Y@howshuwa. Verse 20 would explain the difference between the teaching that Jesus will have one "Second Coming" versus the idea that Jesus (the personage that the name is usually applied to) comes in judgement every time homosexuality and child theft break out (2 Timothy 3:1-5 and Romans 1:18-23). It would not be unseemly for the apostle John to record this information as passed on to him, as the prophet Daniel did the same with the prophecy about the King of the North and the King of the South.
Actually, God himself doesn't often speak in the Bible. It might even be as far back as when He said that Jesus was His beloved Son when he got baptised, although I think He repeated it later during Jesus' ministry as well. When the apostle Paul converted, that was Jesus who spoke from the heavens.

The last thing said by God is something about returning soon. The last part of the bible is a prayer for your faith.

Revelation 22
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.
from the pen of John the apostle
or if you want to be sticky and say this is simply the end of the letter, then it's
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

The last thing Jesus says before he ascends to heaven is:
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
