It could be a pulled muscle in that area. I've had this happen a couple times and it was so uncomfortable. I found that using the heating pad helped the problem. I would also recommend following up with your dr to be on the safe side.

One of the first thing I learned in nursing school, is that when someone complains of neck pain, towards the front, that it may possibly be the glands in your neck and not the muscles. Feel along the lower part of your jaw towards your collar bone, if you feel pain or pressure with your touch, try laying with a warm compress (rag) pressed against your neck, if pain is still there in a day or so, you may need to call your doctor or nurse practitioner. Good luck, I am more into herbs and don't see dr's often, good luck, though.

it's called "interstitial lymphatic constipation"(Dr. Robert Morse) the headaches are a result of a backed up colon. seriously! i dont recommend "colon cleanses" though! except for water only, gravity fed colonics or enemas. that would help you a lot. question is are you willing to do it. most people are pretty squeamish about having their colon washed out. just look it up. the mucus in the lungs is a direct result of this lymph node being backed up, i would bet on it. that and the kidney on that side of of your body is in poor shape. you need to transition into a whole foods "clean eating" program. better yet a short term raw vegan diet. not the kind where you eat a lot of nuts. the kind where you eat about 10 lbs of fruit and veg every day. the pesticides are a big concern though. so i wouldn't do that unless you can afford all organic, or at least look up "the dirty dozen" fruits and veg that are highest in pesticides and get those organic. watch some Robert Morse vids.

You could heat up some rice in a clean sock (in the microwave with a cup of water...about 1 minute and 30 seconds) Lay it on the hurting area and try to relax the hurting pain.

Could be a clogged main artery in your neck! just to be safe, i would go get it checked immediately. if there is a clog there, i can cause a stroke to the brain.

I would suggest to message it, and do streching exercises, you head back and forth, drink lots of water and cut back on sugar

Computer work...rearrange the computer so you are looking straight at it...not off to the side...
