It is OK to have sex, although probably not recommended! She should drink plenty of cranberry juice, as it's pretty good at fending off urinary infections, and I'd imagine that the Doc has given her a short course of antibiotics to see it off. If you do decide to have sex, she should urinate as soon as she can after sex, cos this will help flush any bacteria from around the area. Your own urine does have some antiseptic properties. And when she goes for a No2, tell her to wipe from front to back, as this means any faecal bacteria are not transported to the urinary or vaginal tract.

My wife gets that sometimes, and we wait until it is gone, and she is OK, then sex is OK. Not a good idea to have sex until the infection is gone. I do not believe that another person can catch that. I hope your friend is taking medicine for the infection, as it will clear up, in a few days.

I would wait until the infection clears. having sex whilst still with infection will make her feel very uncomfortable.

It's not contagious, but I recommend you wait until the infection has cleared up.

No and yes. Antibiotics are necessary straight away. Whot ya waitin' for? Get her *** to a GP or the infection will spread and get worse! It could spread to the kidneys, then all over the body. It's very serious. Please get her to get help!
