Not to mention capes and cauldrons.

Not an insult. I have total respect for any human who hold GENUINE convictions or beliefs, regardless of their nature. I see nearly nobody standing for Jesus. Even the believers can be sheepish and reluctant to make public displays of faith. I see many, many kids proudly claiming to be Celts or Pagans or Wiccans or other. It seems as if they like the bodyart and paraphernalia. I myself really like knives and swords and runes.
I don't think I will change my beliefs because of them. Just as false Christians harm Cristianity, false worshipers of the Earth and her elements, harm the old faith. Just a point in the other direction.

Probably, but they don't stick around very long and eventually move on. The rest of us who understand the symbolism, aren't just in it for the theatrics, those things are merely props to us.

Inevitably. And some adopt certain beliefs because of Pascal's Wager. Some because of fear. Some because they want to join a social club that doesn't charge the usual extortionate fees.

I own a useful knife which also looks pretty, I could learn to read and write runic if I really wanted to. No way I'd put on a silly cape though, I do have SOME standards.

I highly doubt it. People adopt 'certain beliefs' because they like what the belief is about, not what is used in it. But I like relics and runes.

Psh. No.

Nice try, though, at trying to insult a religion.

No. Usually such beliefs "adopt" the adherent, if they're willing to answer the call.
