Try cutting back 500 calories a day, that should be a pound a week. If you add exercise to that, it should even it about to 5 pounds a month. If you also cut back on most of the junky foods, you should be -50 pounds in about 8-9 months.

It really varies for each person. Eat Healthy and workout often. There are lots of places online where you can learn to lose weight and/or build some muscle. Here is a good place to start. Losing weight can be hard work, but it is well worth the effort. Just remember baby steps count too. Keep working out and eat healthy and in a few weeks you may surprised by the results! I highly recommend an eBook (electronic book) called "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" Download it here: http://www.wideopenebooks.com/Recommends/BURNFAT.html It is exceptional!
Good Luck!
