If a large flock of birds look scared and are all flying in one direction, then yes they send you the message to head for the hills.

Trained carry pigeons can and do carry messages to people and are still used in some countries today as the main source of communication over distances. Birds do not talk to people, however birds are often the first signs of ensuing disaster (bad weather, something strange, fires etc.) On the plains of africa birds often signal other animals through mass exodus of approaching trouble.

Believe it.
Birds (specifically pigeons) have been used to carry messages for more than 800 years. During WWI a pigeon was even awarded the French War Cross for its services, delivering 12 messages (despite being shot). They have been used in the delivery of post, media, and war communications as early as 1150AD.
I have attached a link below where you can have a pigeon deliver a message for you in Texas today.

Carrier pigeons that are trained to deliver messages from one location to another do. Of course a person writes the message and attaches it to a band on the pigeon's leg. the bird doesn't speak or anything.

Sure they do. My pet bird, lets me know what he wants. He knows exactly how to get what he wants. But even the wild birds, which we feed all of the time, if their feeders get empty, will come to our patio door, and look inside, as if to say "hey, don't you know the feeders need filled"? Birds are really smart, we have the same wild birds come back to our yard, year after year, to nest. Had a hairy woodpecker, looking in my patio door this morning, the feeder had been emptied by the squirrels.

In what sense do you mean? Carrier pigeons have sent messages for thousands of years. People would roll up small pieces of paper and tie them to their feet. Some people still do this for hobby. I would bet they use them in some 3rd world countries still. Other birds have also been used like doves and I believe hawks.
Now if you mean spiritual messages... well, it's up to you what you are willing to believe. I believe if we are ready to receive messages we can see them in many types of messengers. Be open to it.

I do believe that they try to communicate with us on some level.Look how animals react when there are natural disasters.Or animals that travel in search of help when a loved one has been hurt.People can say what they want, but I believe there is some connection there.

My daughter had a canary that asked to go out of his cage and returned when he felt like it, he would fly to different perches and made signs depending on what treat he felt like, of course they can, canaries are like cats, budgies like dogs.
Reconnaissance pigeons helped win WW1 taking literal messages and there are pigeon fancier clubs in England that fly their birds all over Europe and back w. messages.
