use 1/3 warm water, 1/3 Isopropyl alcohol, and 1/3 H2O2 (peroxide). Get an ear syringe and use this combo to flush out your ear. This was the recipe I used when I was a doctor's office nurse and had to do ear washes when Rx'd by the Doc. If this doesn't work, go see your doc; it may be something else. Good Luck!

I have the same problem about every 3-4 yrs. I go to the doctor and he puts warm water into this thingamajig and squirts water into my ear so hard it makes my ears ring and makes me a little dizzy. When it is all over, there is a basin full of ear crap you cannot believe. You wonder how it all fit in there. I am a very clean person too, its just ear wax builds up and clogs off my ears.
I also heard of these things called ear wiks that you can buy at many choiropracters office. You stick it in your ear, lite the end of it and it sucks the ear wax out. I would be very careful with it though. I think they cost about $14.
Good luck

I had this problem a few weeks ago. It wasn't wax, but fluid. This is probably your problem if the wax removal drops didn't work. Try a decongestant like Sudafed. I got a prescription for Flonase, and that works, too.

Either way, take care of it, or it will eventually get infected.

Visit your doctor. You may have an ear infection or something like that. If it is just wax build up but it is sufficient to affect your hearing you'll need the doctor to remove it safely. But first he or she will need to look in your ear and see what exactly is causing it to feel like it is plugged up.

An ear, nose and throat specialist can remove wax build up in seconds and it doesn't hurt at all. If it's not wax than they can tell you what's wrong and probably fix it too.

It sounds like it's time to visit your doctor. If it is ear wax, they will be able to flush it out for you. The wax gets impacted in your ear and turns hard, which is why it will be difficult to remove yourself.

Possible ear infection. I would try taking garlic capsules and cutting them open.. squeeze the contents into your ear and do this 3-4 times per day for about a week. I'd also see a doctor for diagnosis... but the garlic tends to work for me and for my children.

You may have wax impaction & your doctor might be able to remove it in his office. It's painless & well worth the trip. Sometimes the sinuses can cause ears to plug up also. If so, the doctor may prescribe nasal spray & sinus meds.
