Would a tad of sugar to my bowl make it less spicy? Anything else???? It's really good, but a tad too spicy (and already made! There's a big pot of it at home we have to finish up!)
Thanks!

Just add some rice. Just cook some white rice seperately and add enough to take the edge off the spice. I do this when it's too spicy and also when it's too salty. It works like a charm for me.

One standard way to de-spice an over-spiced recipe is to cook it some more with one or two plain potatoes which you then remove - the potatoes absorb the extra spices. This will only work if the jambalaya's liquid, but it may be a tip worth knowing anyway.

I thought that the sugar helps with the salty flavor. Why not cook up some more rice and add it to the Jambalaya? That will take some of the heat out.Call me when its ready...Miss me some jambalaya....

Take a large potato, peel it and chop it up. Add it to your jambalya and it should help absorb your spice.
