We should take care of the earth even if it's not going to do anything in our lifetime, we should think about the future too.

Hello Courtney. Global warming is a serious theat to life on this planet. The issue has been taken very lightly by most world leaders.
Incredibly, the Rio Accord (agreement), in which the US did not participate, is not enforced by those countries signataries of such agreement. Yet they blame the US for global warming as if it were our fault alone.
Deforestation is also causing the changes we have been experiencing in the global weather. We all need to do something about it while there is time to mend our mistakes.
Nothing will be achieved once the damage is irreversible.

Even if we are not causing Global Warming, we still make an environmental impact on our planet. I, for one, drive a Toyota Prius for the emissions reductions. I am probably the only teenager in New Orleans that chose Mother Earth over acceleration, but I feel like every pound of CO2 not in the air is a good thing.

Yes, it is a good lesson anyway, but unfortunately global warming is real.

Courtney I've asked people to stop arguing about it and take the high ground many times (i.e. just make better choices that are eco-friendly, etc.) and I've been ignored better than a panhandler on loop 410. I'm not sure we're reaching them...

I'm all for being good to the earth. After all - she's done so much for us the least we can do is take care of her.

No Courtney, the truth is very important. If a fallacy is put forward because it will have a good effect, that is still dishonest. It's better that people understand the truth and act on that.

That's not the way of science. They lie about it to gain extra funding for their "cause". Yes it is important to take care of the earth, but we don't need scientists to lie about it.

Since this is the only home we have, it would make sense to take care of it, don't you think?
I mean, once this planet is totally fubar-ed, we'll all be homeless.....
