On an individual level, and as the church?
I'm both excited and nervous about the prospect of finally meeting Jesus face to face. I guess it's a bit like finally meeting up with someone you've got to know over the internet.

Hi mark b, I wouldn't worry about not having angel visitations etc. Before Jesus went to heaven, he specifically said blessed are those who believe who have not seen me... There's also TONNES of historical evidence that Jesus existed - far more than Julius Ceasor! Keep searching!

Do you know what it means? and are you born again?
It's not too hard!! first you must be born again.
You must be born of the spirit of God. This is done by # 1 knowing that all men are sinners and that a Holy God can not allow sin in his presents. we will be consumed by his glory. Because, we are not without sin we must be born of Gods spirit. So everyone who wants to go to heaven should ask God To forgive our sins and ask Jesus to come into our Hearts and wash us clean through the blood of Jesus being applyed to our life. We should repent and turn from our sins. Put on Jesus and live every day according to the word of God. we have to read our 1.Bible 2. pray 3 tell others about Jesus 4. have fellowship with other Christians. Live clean and Holy through the Holy Spirit.
Paul said that he would not have us be ignorant concerning those who are asleep for we shell not all sleep but we shell all be changed. for the Lord himself would desend from Heaven with a shout with the trump of God, and the voice of the Arc-angle and the dead in christ shell rise first and we which are alive and remain shell be caught up to the clouds to meet rthe Lord in the air and there shelll we ever be with the Lord.(known as the Rapture) Not the second comming. The second comming is when Jesus comes back to the earth to set up his kingdom. where he shell reign and rule for 1000 yrs. during this time the devil shell be bound and held until the 1000 yrs. is up where he shell be loosed for a-season. ( a short time) then come the great white throne judgement. where the dead small and great shell stand before the throne and the books were open and another book which is the book of life (Rev 20:10-14 ) Who so ever's name was not found written in the booke of life was cast into the lake of fire(the second death) (Rev 21: 8 ) who will be in the lake of fire.
What we should do Individully to get ready for the second coming Repent and live every day as Jesus commanded us
preaching this Gospel to the world. loving all men as ourselves. we must snatch as many as we can from the gates of hell. Jesus is alive and still saving souls pray tell the story of his coming alive and don't be afraid. get the word out. there is hope it is in Jesus Christ. come on church get busy. time is short and Jesus said to go that means not to stay.

I am sorry but please get on with you life and be happy show your family and friends you have love for them. Do not live your life waiting for an event which may never happen.
Religion has caused far too much fighting and suffering through out the world and they are suppossedly constantly prepared for the 2 nd coming whatever that means.
If you hope to meet Jesus face to face then I would try and visit a medium then you might make contact cause he isnt going to come back on this earth.
The bible was a very good book of stories written by many people and if it was written today it would probably get an award for top fiction.
Advances in science can be used to explain the events that happened in the bible.

No one knows the exact time when Jesus will come again, so we should live each day the best we can. As an individual, we should make sure that we live lives that are right with God and our fellow men, that we ensure that we continue to grow in maturity as a Christian, both in our knowledge of God as well as in service to Him.
As a church, we should be reaching out into the communities around us with the love of God. We should share the love of God with others and we should be "light and salt" to those around us.
In short, we should grow and we should serve!

The second coming has been spoken of in great detail by many. The Bible and the Quran both speak of the return of Jesus to earth. I will speak to your question as a Sufi might address it. The prophet Muhammad was ask this question concerning the return of Jesus by his followers: "What say you concerning the supposed return to earth by the one called Jesus?" Make sure the oil in your lamp is full. Pray in the Spirit/Truth first thing every morning. Read the Word of God as the Spirit directs. Follow after the Spirit throughout the day. Trust & obey, there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, is to trust & obey.
It is true that God blesses us from Glory to Glory, so to praise God lifting up Holy hands in Church Praise & Worship experiencing Gods presence changes us. Also, God will give you visions of Him. When we truly see Jesus as He Is, face to face, we will truly know him as He truly knows us.

You absolutely have to be American! I doubt you are personally going to get to meet him face to face - its unlikely that he is going to chose America to land in. Its not realy like meeting someone you met on the internet - for a start you could arrange that for next week or something. Are you expecting him very soon?

I was led to California by the Holy Spirit,and during praise and worship, my spiritual body woke up and started to dance,and people were scared, and I asked a question of GOD I was this answer, "FEAR NOT FOR THIS IS THE SPIRIT THAT WILL LIFT YOU UP IN THAT DAY OF THE RAPTURE"! these were the Exact words said that was 20yrs ago so it could be any now
