I'm not, 'cause I'll just be re-incarnated or come back as ghost! Please don't talk about what I said, I just want to know what YOU think of being afraid of death, not your opinion on what I think of it!

I am not afraid to die, just of the dying. Death doesn't scare me because I have done it. As I was bleeding to death the questions I kept asking were for those I was leaving. It was painful and scarey and full of sorrow. When my life left my body, I was warm, secure, felt love and peace within. I knew, some how that everything would be ok. I just knew. I heard my children crying and I felt as if I fell back into my body so hard that my bones would break. I was depressed and happy all at the same time but I know now that death is nothing to fear. It is the dying that scares me.

the only factor that freaks me out isn't understanding HOW i'm gonna die. i desire it fairly is only no longer a brutal dying. i'm no longer able to think of being stabbed lower back and lower back or burning or drowning. I desire i ought to administration HOW and whilst yet on an identical time as a no longer-so-religious guy or woman i be attentive to it is not an determination. As for what comes after a guy or woman dies, properly i've got lost my brother, step-mom, dad, grandparents and a great number of, many acquaintances so if there fairly is a Heaven I think of seeing everybody lower back would be fairly the occasion.

Death is inevitable. The fear the inevitable is folly. There is no more sense in fearing death than in fearing the sunrise...ro the beating of your own. In truth...it is not death that most people fear, but the transition of dying itself. Most of us have at least some idea of what we think, or hope awaits us in death. It is the transition of dying itself that remains the mystery. You're here...you're gone. It's that quick. No matteer how long it take to get to that point....the actual moment that one dies is very quick.

I have no fear of death. And I await the transition of dying with great anticipation...I have, afterall already done and had everything a person could possibly do or want in life...dying...that is the next adventure...

Fair enough. I'll kick my soapbox into the corner.
Yes. I am afraid to die. I am a Christian, but I am not always on my best behavior. I am afraid that when I die, I will do so outside of God's grace. I try to "be good", but sometimes it is hard. I am afraid of dying and going to Hell for all of eternity.

Well, there's no evidence of reincarnation or ghosts, so I don't think anything will happen after death.

Afraid TO die -- hm. It's a natural process. I'd be more afraid to live forever (or "live" after death). I'd rather die after a long, happy life.

Yes, very. It will most likely be like the lights going out, and that's it. In time, I'll be forgotten, even as my children are forgotten. Everything I've loved or carried for will pass away, and be lost. Everything I spent a life learning, will be lost. It is a terrible thing to think about. It is inevitable.

I don't think anyone is afraid of death so much as the method of their death. Will it be painful? Will it be quick? Will it be lingering? Once you get the method of dying part out of the way - you're home free.

I surely wouldn't want to die and I wouldn't want to feel pain or anything. But I am not afraid of dying, because I don't believe anything will happen. I will be dead then, so it's no use to be afraid of something you will never fully experience.

I'm not afraid to die, I just hope I live a long life first.
