Is it my imaganation or do Mopar's cause static shocks more

It was a 87 Jeep Cherokee and yes it had cloth interior. It had BFG all terain tires. The Engine had a problem with frying the rotor on the distrubor also...

Have had the same problem when i bought my 1997 Intrepid.
Occured more when it was new.
did find a couple of answers to cure it
Hold the frame(metal part) of your door before you touch the ground.
Also heard that the Scotch Static Guard may help if you spray it on the seats
Try attaching a grounding strap to the frame ....kind of like the ol fuel trucks have

spray some anti staric spray on seats...part of problem is the brand of tires
