Walking (or running) is a great cardio and will make you loose weight along with cutting down on calories. Aim to cut out 500 calories per day. Weight training will get you toned- try with 5 lbs dummbells, do lifts, curls, squats etc. If you have a gym , use the machines there- don't lift too much, but repeat often (20-40 reps of each.) Since muscles need a 24 hr break, do weight training every other day.

There are lots of places online where you can learn to lose weight and/or build some muscle. Here is a good place to start. Losing weight can be hard work, but it is well worth the effort. Just remember baby steps count too. Keep working out and eat healthy and in a few weeks you may surprised by the results! I highly recommend an eBook (electronic book) called "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" Download it here:
http://www.wideopenebooks.com/Recommends/BURNFAT.html It is exceptional!
Good Luck!

everybody wants great results but nobody wants to do what it takes. if you really want optimum results fast you have to focus on the diet. the higher the quality of the foods that you ingest the more efficient the body becomes. this pretty much means consuming no processed foods.

walking for 30 min is not enough you no wonder your not seeing results. you need to run for 45 minutes straight if you really want to see results. if you cant run for as long as you can give yourself 10 seconds to catch your breath and start running again untill you build your stamina.
