It means you are one lucky duck. My cat never meowed loudly either. I don't think that means anything physically or emotionally wrong...she's probably a complete sweetheart.

It is completely normal. Cats have different voices, just as humans do. Some talk more than others, some talk louer than others, some don't talk at all. I have one cat that is now 9 years old and I'll bet I can count the number of times he has meowed on two hands. I think it's because if he speaks up the girl cats beat the tar out of him...hmmmm?
Anyway, no worries. If she is otherwise acting normally, good appetite, no behavioral problems, I would chalk the voice up to "It's just the way she is".

That sounds like my cat, ha ha. The silent meow. She has a low meow when she's being whiny. Yesterday morning she let out a howling of a meow though. I think she thought she was home alone. So she can meow loud when she wants to, just not very often.

Not all cats have loud meows. I had a huge white cat that had the softest meow, you could hardly hear him. Now I have a cat that doesn't meow at all, she quacks instead of meowing. And no she is not a duck.

Absolutely normal. I grew up with an extremely loud and vocal cat but the cat I have now hardly meows at all. It all depends on their personality.

It's just the way she is. My friend had a cat that lived for 19 years, and she only ever heard her meow like three times.

There is the possibility that the cat is looking for a home. We ended up with a stray that invited himself into the house. If he is hungry or thirsty meowing for 20 min is nothing. If you are feeling generous put out some food and water and see if that improves things.

If a cat has been in a fight sometimes this happends, she could be getting on in years do you know the age? a cat is considered a senior at 8 years of age. If she eats and sleeps well I wouldn't worry too much, but if it worries you take her for a check up.

It's a personality thing. Some cats just aren't talkers. My cat Flag got his name because as a kitten he hardly meowed at all ... instead, he communicated by waving his tail. :-)
