i know exactly what you mean...
like, why should i have to prove that something *doesn't* exist? you should be proving, and i mean PROVING, that something *does* exist if you're trying to pursuade me into believing something.
i get you, but i don't have an answer. but i empathize.

Scammers prey on people who will readily believe that something exists without proof that it does.
Not many people have basic logic or reasoning skills. If you point out a reasoning flaw to someone, they act like it is a personal attack against them. They act like that I made up the logic flaw.
I see examples of people believing without proof all over Yahoo Answers. From religion to 9/11 to investing. Logic and reasoning should be its own class in school and be required.
What is really sad is that Sir Arthur Conon Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes (the master detective who thrived on logic), fell for the Cottingley Fairy Hoax.

Okay yeah there are people who want proof of something but there may not be proof of it such as gravity. Is there gravity? I can not see it so it must not be real since there is no proof that gravity exist. Yeah I might see my ball fall back down when I throw it up but is that because of gravity? See how much we really don't know but we only think we know.

Yes, it makes sense but blind faith has no sensibility. If one is raised by their families to believe in something that does not exist they will believe in it no matter how much sense it may or may not make.
People sometimes live their entire lives waiting for signs of existance from a "god." People have been waiting THOUSANDS of years for the return of santa clause or jesus christ or some other such imaginary icon. Blind faith obstructs common sense, logic and sensibility.

If you are referring to Religions and I assume you are since you are asking it in this Category. Christians Believe in God because of Our Faith in him. It has been proven he died for All of us on the Cross for our Sins. Others have testified to his Miracles. When someone can pray to God and the Sea part, thats pretty miraculous if you ask me. Heck just throwing a stick down and it turning into a Snake, would make me a Believer. Some folks have a hard time in believing in anything, even if its right in front of their eyes.

There is proof that it exist; there's you, and the fact that you talk to something in your mind, or is that because you're nuts?
No one can dispute that there is a Creator, and that is our Lord.
You can lie all you want, but then you'll end up calling for the Creator to help you.

If you have a real proof that something exist, then it must exist.
if you don't have proof that something don't exist. then you have no information about it. you can't deny it exist

Yep, but that's called logic, and unfortunately humans are not very logical. They are, however, very concerned with their own convenience and comfort.
