Just b/c they may be being more honest doesn't mean they should be saying everything that comes out of their mouths. Sometimes it's better to leave certain things unsaid. I know this b/c I've had several drunk dialing episodes, etc and it SUCKS to wake up the next morning a realize all of the stupid things you've said. So maybe alcohol does make you more honest but that then again they may not fully mean what they said or how it comes across.

It's been said for years that "In vino veritas," which means, "In wine, there is truth." In my experience, drinking makes you less socially inhibited, meaning you might say things you usually wouldn't. If this means that you usually put up a front, then it might mean that you become more honest. If you are an "open book" kind of person and you always say what you think, then it's probably not going to change you.

They tend to let go of some of their inhibitions. It all has to do with the parts of the brain that the alcohol affects. It also affects the part of the brain that helps you hold in your pee -- that's why you tend to need to pee more when you're drunk, not the fluid you've been ingesting. Honest! I learned it in some class I took in college.

Yes, Alcohol equals honesty, because most of the time you don't care if you make anyone upset when you are drunk. The next day/morning you might be kicking yourself in the bum though.

I would say so. Alcohol suppresses peoples' brains and makes you feel more relaxed. Yes, they are more honest, but mainly out of carelessness and a lack of thinking what the consquences are.
