We wear what we call Garments. They aren't holy, and they don't give us special magical powers or anything. They are like the habits the nuns wear, or a collar a priest wears. They are sign of our devotion to God. Since they are underwear, I won't show them, I just think that's creepy!! Not all members wear them, only the ones who have been through the temple and have chosen too. The temple isn't weird, and we don't do weird rituals that include blood, or any hand signals of death or dying. Someone on here said that the temple sessions had been changed in the mid-late '70's, but it hasn't changed at all. I even asked people who have been going since like the '50's.

We believe in the grace of Christ, but also believe that we have to show Christ we accept His grace. We do this through repentance and following the commandments. It is through Christ we can make it back to heaven to live with God and Christ again. We believe in Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we testify of Christ, we love Christ. He is my savior, my redeemer and my friend. It is through His sacrifice we are able to make it back to God's presence. He is the way, the truth and the life.

Yes, we believe in the bible!!!!! We follow the bible. We learn about and read the bible- both the old and new Testaments. Right now, we are studying the New Testament in sunday school.

We won't be transported to different planets when we die! We will go to heaven-either spirit paradise or spirit "prison" (not really prison as in bars or anything, but like a place where we can learn more of Christ and his teachings), and then we are judged for what we did in life. We don't believe that only LDS people will be in heaven, or that everyone else is going to hell. It all depends on how you lived your life, and how you lived no matter what religion you are. If you followed what you believe, you have the ability to make it to heaven!

We believe that part of the original manuscript was taken by God because His will wasn't followed by some of the early apostles. They were shown to people who weren't supposed to see them, and some of the transcript was lost because of this. We do believe that we will get this other part back later, and through revelation, just like before. There were a lot more people who saw the book of Mormon then just Joseph's wife!! Many saw the gold plates, but were told to not say anything until God told them to tell.

I'm posting a link to some sites that will answer more questions for you. It should clear up most of the questions you have, and most of the rumors too.

>Church of LDS... do y'all really wear Holy undies?

Would you like to see? Why do you even Care?

>Do you really believe you can earn your way into heaven?

If we earn our way to heaven, then what good is Jesus Christ? And if Jesus Christ is redundant, then why would we believe in heaven, at all? If there is no heaven, then why would we bother to try to EARN our way into it?

>Do you believe in the Bible? Old and New Testament?

Yes. Yes, yes.

>Do you really believe that you will be transported to different planets after you die?

I hope not. I'd hate to end up on the Klingon home world by mistake!

>Is the Book or Mormon really a book that mysteriously disappeared and nobody can claim that they've ever seen the original manuscript except one woman?

OK, I'm assuming here that you are talking about the lost 116 pages constituting the Book of Lehi. Martin Harris wanted to have some sort of authentification, so he managed to talk Joseph Smith into giving him a copy of some of the writngs on the plates, and the translation. He showed them to his wife, who promptly stole them and was going to use it to impeach the translation. But, those pages were simply never included in the Book of Mormon. Since then, Joseph didn't let anyone witness what he did as he translated.

You can learn a lot just by going to our web sites.

Why so many non LDS think they know all the answers?

well any way,

1. We call them Garments, it serves as a reminder of the covenants we made in the temple.

2. We believe KJV of Old and new testament, and in the book of Mormon.

3. We will not be transported to another planet, we believe earth will be the heavenly planet that we will live on.

4. Concerning entering into heaven, LDS believe that all men, good or bad , by the grace of Jesus Christ, all will be resurrected, and are saved from death.
but inorder to get the highest level of heaven, where God dwells, it requires man's good work.
That is why James taught "faith without work is dead."

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
(New Testament | James 2:17 - 18)

5. We believe the "gold plates "that the book of mormon was translated from are in God's possesion. I doubt it would safe to keep it on earth.

Cometh hither children for I shall speaketh the truth. The Book of Mormon and the magic underware is no goofier then what is spake of in the Bible. For it is all nonsense designed to seperate thee frometh thy cash. If God doeth exist his intent is so far beyond our humble ability to precieve. Doeth the cockroach know thy intent just before thee step on him on the way to replinish thy soiled underware?

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

The plates containing the Book of Morman were seen by at least 17 witnesses.
