I'm reading "los de abajo" and i am so lost...
can anyone tell me what "mira nomas que chapetes"
and "mira nomas que cachetitos de morena" means?

or else explain to me the following sentence:
"Si; el no havia sabido apreciar a su debido tiempo la distancia que hay the manejar el escalpelo, fulminar latrofacciosos desde las columnas de un diario provinciano, a venir a buscarlos con el fusil en las manos a sus propias guaridas."

Mira nomás qué cachetitos de morena = Look at that brunette's cheeks.

Chapetes means little ones or (mocosios) like little dumb kids.

mira nomas que cachetitos de morena. means look at those cute little brown cheeks.

any spanish person can be called morena

and i have no idea what there talking about. but heres the translation..
