I'm looking for a nice, friendly saying to slap on the wall in our kitchen at the office to remind people to be courteous to their co-workers. No, not something that says "Your mother doesn't work here". Something a little classier. We are having issues with people not cleaning up after themselves, not replacing the paper towel, not picking up messes on the floor and counters, etc. Something clever and catchy would be ideal. Thanks!

Please leave the kitchen cleaner than you found it.

Not snappy, but it says what it needs to say.

How about a sign up sheet? Get co-worker buy in first. Something like, Please sign up to do the following every week: 1 Clean the microwave, 2 clean the counters, floor*, and sink, 3 Clean out the refridgerator every Friday afternoon. *=only the spills, not the normal sweeping/mopping.

It's not very catchy, but if you can get even one or two more people to help, others will most likely notice.

Why a nice friendly saying? How old are these people? 12?
They are adults and should be told straight that everyone needs to clean up after themselves or they cannot use the facilities.
Ask management to send round an office memo about it and stick THAT on the kitchen wall!
Good Luck

I gave up and started eating elsewhere. I also refused to participate in the clean up as I don't use the facilities. Some people objected, but I am not paid to be anyone's housekeeper - my problem was solved.

Yeah I want to know too. We were having the same problem. I finally figured out that it's the boss who forgets to clean up after himself. He's kind of old, a great boss, absent-minded type, so we just gave up and clean up after him.

Good luck with that. We've tried everything in our office but the slobs and lazy people do not change.

Bugs really appreciate it when you don't clean up after yourself.

This kitchen doesn't self-clean! Please clean up your mess.
