The two methods listed above are not the only two. There are several ways of getting excellent macro shots with 35mm or digital slrs. 1. A bellows, which connects to the lens mount the same way a lens does, then attach your lens, whichever one you want onto that for close up. And, you can turn the objective lens around on that mechanism and do macro - all it takes is a lens inverter. 2. Extention tubes. Do about the same thing as a bellows, but not quite as versatile. 3.
