The average smoker generates more carbon emissions from their cigarettes than their SUV's. Why do idiots let hypocrite tobacco growers like Al Gore tell us that us poor people need to consume less energy (meanwhile 1 of his 5 homes consumes more energy than a small town) and the Federal Government subsidized tobacco is not banned?

I saw a report on the news that broke down all the carbon emissions from cigarettes (in case ppl didn't know cigarettes are not made from straight tobacco but a chemically laced 'tobacco paper') and it is no wonder they cause cancer. The actual carbon em missions from fossil fuels is relatively small compared to other sources such as cigarettes and cow farts (yes cows release more carbon than fossil fuel consumption).

The reason why Socialist Progressives are hyping up the climate change hysteria is not because they care about the environment but because they know that if they make people paranoid they are more likely to 'be emphatic; vote demoncratic'. The reason why 95% of my brothas and sistas in the 'D' vote demoncrat is because they are convinced that every Republican is a rich white racist who get together for the sole purpose of coming up with ways to 'keep the man down'. Ignorant yes, effective yes.

Once people wake up and realize that climate change is a natural cycle in our environment and that George W. Bush has done more for the advancement of equal rights than any President since Abraham Lincoln (the first Republican President) they will cease to be used and taken advantage of by the Socialist Progressive wing of the demoncrat party.

In case you hadn't noticed, SUV's and cigarettes are not banned anywhere, neither one is good for the environment and they are still WAY too popular for my way of thinking. Until we can make it uncool to own an SUV and to smoke cigarettes we are stuck with both. Kind of a dumb question.

Where do you get your facts from ?? I doubt that 7 packs of cigarettes generate more CO2 than the 10 gallons of gas that person would use in the same week.

Nobody is banning them. They are just seen as cash cows for tax purposes (just like cigarettes)

Also, you are completely wrong anyway. As tobacco is a crop, the CO2 released is only that required to grow it (ignoring transport) it is not using a fossil resources (apart from transport)

What nonsense! A smoker does NOT generate more CO2 by smoking than by driving.

Anyway, neither are banned, and probably never will ever be.

cigarette companies have too many employees and make too much money thus destroying cigarettes would be destroying America even though most of us hate cigarettes
