I am wondering if drinking the night before a run effects your time the next day when you go to run. If so by how much?

Not necessarily unless you were totally hung over.

Yes. Drinking affects brain cells. Alchahol kills brain cells and ruins the synapses firing across the brain itself. When you run, your body is worn out from fighting off the effects of the booze, too.

How much your time is off is unknown as each person is, mostly, unique. Having once been a runner in competition, I would say that knowing it cut off ANY time at all is TOO MUCH.

it totally makes a difference, your body isn't at its optimal condition. Hence why the olympics band drugs, even regualr cough medicine, and alcohol.
