I find this to be quite annoying and selfish.

They bring the cart home with them and then leave it outside like it isn't their problem.

You know that happens all the time down at our local ASDAs store which is like located within this council estate or housing project as its called in the states, and they do that all the time, i think its because they have to walk home and so cant be bothered to carry their shopping home. These carts now even have these special tags in them to make the wheels freeze when it passes this line outside of the market, do you know what the cheezy bstards do? They lift the cart over the line and then they manage to wheel it off the premises.

Later on you see these council kids messing around in these carts pushing them down the streets where they could get run over or it gets dumped in the reen that surrounds the estate, yet creating more rubbish and waste.

Its a really poor mentality to have, no respect for other people's property.

I could be because they don't have a car and walked to the store, then realized they couldn't carry their groceries home so they decided to take the cart instead. Believe me, it's tough carrying a lot of groceries home. Your arms get sore and tired in a short amount of time (try carrying 30-40 pound dumbells in your hands for 10-15 minutes. Your arms would get pretty sore). As long as they bring the carts back, I see no harm in it.

Probably because they don't want to buy one of those little ones that fold up that they can bring with them. If they are walking they may have bought more than they can comfortably carry so they decide to take a cart. I don't have a problem with it as long as it is brought back.

For the same reason they push the carts around inside the store when shopping...it's easier.
But your right, it's is exceptionally annoying and selfish...
