Silica - take it as a supplement, you will find it in most chemists in the homoeopathic section.
It will not harm you, whereas some other supplements can, where you can then build up too much of something. It is a minute dilution and can be taken with any other medication.
The tablets are small and should be sucked, leaving at least 30 Min's either side free of food and drink

Aside from taking a multivitamin, you can keep them cut short and squared, and tap your fingertips on the tabletop whenever possible. I know that sounds funny, but it stimulates nail growth. Also, wear gloves when you do the dishes or clean with chemicals.

Have more nutrients...and take vitamins.
There is also a nail polish out there that make your nails thick too.
But i suggest to eat stuff that has nutrients in it and vitamins...and drink more milk!

Eat cheese and drink milk daily. It doesn't have to be very much but it does have to be regular - on a daily basis. This will help your hair strength and growth too.

Do the Jell-o thing but do this as well, dip your finger nails in olive oil everyday and let it dry. You should get results in a few days! :)
