What's in a name?

Question

I am conducting a test for my English class. The teacher is requiring us to find meaning in our names. So, what does the name "Jason" mean to you?
Please don't say random things like "my father" or "that guy I slept with." That doesn't help. Thanks.

Note: I know "Jason" is Greek, from the mythological hero, and means "Healer." Thanks for those who helped.

What I would sincerely enjoy if you could but personal ideas on the name. One person said the first thing that came to their mind. Things like that help the most.

Jason comes from the Greek name Ιασων (Iason), which was derived from Greek ιασθαι (iasthai) "to heal". Jason was the leader of the Argonauts in Greek legend. He went in search of the Golden Fleece in order to win back his kingdom from his uncle Pelias. During his journeys he married the sorceress Medea, who helped him gain the fleece and kill his uncle, but who later turned against him when he fell in love with another woman. This name is also used in Acts in the New Testament to translate the Hebrew name Joshua.

In every baby naming book there are meanings for the names. Some are very different in other languages and cultures. Just from noticing and thinking about all the Jasons I know I have come up with these similarities. Jasons seem to be athletic, kind-hearted, somewhat handsome and at some point bothered by a health issue. That is what I think of the name Jason.

Personal view: It conveys strength. It is the name of a thin, wiry person. As it became popular fairly recently, all Jasons are young or youngish men.

I have to say that whenever I think of the name Jason I think of a strong youth, a loyal friend, someone who is fun and interested in learning about the world, a bright personality, a great speaker, someone who is able to listen to your woes and give an honest opinion.

To me it's a little different of a name, not real common, to me it's a "strong" name, but then again I guess a "healer" would have to have "some kind" of strength.
