Some Catholics are Christians, the vast majority are not. But, Roman Catholicism is a pseudo-Christian cult-no doubt. All Catholics believe that they are Christians, but unfortunately they believe a lie. Any church that places a man or woman between the sinner and God is a cult. Like Mormons and Jehovah's Witness, Catholics are not aware they are in a cult.
Just type "cults" into your search bar and enter.

early followers of Jesus were called christians...and early followers struggled to be like their leader. not so these days. these modern days it is hip to be christian and many people take the title on themselves, some acting a bit like they think christians should but having no clue what and why Gods children do what they do...others dont even bother going that far. so...catholics are christians. wether you mean it in the old way and believe that they still worship the real God, or wether you mean it in the modern way and believe they are far from the truth and as the bible says, a mother of harlots...it makes no difference.

Um, I'm a Catholic and also considered Christian. I don't know why ppl are always saying their totally different 'cause they're not. Just like Baptists are Christians, and same with Lutherns and Methodists.

Jesus Never named the Church!
We are given only one name to wear: "Christian"
(1 Peter 4:16).
"... for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:4)

If people on here don't even know about the Great Schism, they shouldn't really be allowed to be Christians in my opinion... you've got to know SOMETHING about how your religion came into being...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Schism
And Protestantism formed AFTER that. Catholocism and Orthodoxy are the original Christian sects

You only need one bit of information: Christians are those who believe Jesus was the Messiah and worship him. Thus, anyone who believes Jesus was the Messiah and worships him is a Christian.
That's all that matters.
