If this kid gets out of his room one more time?

I dont know what i am going to do. Think I should give him a good whack?

I think I understand now why people work and throw their kids in day care, I shouldnt have been so judgemental before. God! I need a break. Can you come babysit?

He is almost 4. he isnt being punished, he's taking a nap. If he dosent, well, things wont work if he dosent, lol.

I made a clock for my kids out of a paper plate and a split pin. The hands moved. There was a real clock in the room too and I used to set the made up clock to the time they could come out of the room. The real clock had to match the made clock and once it did, they knew that was the time they could come out...it worked a treat.
The other way is just to not expect thte child to stay in his room for any length of time and then if he doesn't, you won't be upset because you didn't expect him to stay there. He's only 4.....if he makes it to adulthood, I bet you'll fall in love with him all over again.

you need help honey , not all kids at 4 take naps :( and never smack a child that is just showing him that smacking when your angry at someone is ok !!! Chilling out time is hard to find but you have to find it for yourself :) also get on line find some ideas like play dough , home made paint and play with your child spend quality time with him , he loves you and probably just wants you !!! believe me this time you will look back in years to come and wonder where the years have gone ( cherish it don't push your child aside and make him feel he is just not loved or wanted or appreciated ) love him squeeze him and never lose site of that fact that you and him have each other and you need each other :) good luck honey and just chill out , kids are kids and sometimes what we want them to do isn't what they want to do !!!

dont whack your child. just try to calm down. everybody gets frustrated sometimes. why cant he come outof his room?is he in a time out?how old is he? different ages have different annoying traits. give us more details so we can help better.

if his door has a lock turn the knob around and lock it for a few minutes. and go take a hot bath and just chill for a few minutes
