The Bible says that before Jesus comes, Satan must come first (II Thess. 2:3). If a supernatural being arrives, how will we know if it is Jesus or Satan?

Excellent question, Tish:

First, this supernatural creature must have pierce marks. You will recall that after Christ was resurrected, Thomas put his fingers in his wounded hands and side.

The prophecy written in Habakkuk 3:3,4 describes this event when Christ returns: “And His brightness was as the light; he had horns [lights flashing] out of his hand[PIERCE MARKS]: and there was the hiding of his power.” Jesus earned the right to rule this planet by His great sacrifice.

More pierce marks are predicted by Zechariah, also about 700 years before Jesus died. John quotes that text: “They shall look on him whom they pierced” (John 19:37)

Those prophecies eliminate all charlatans who may claim to be the Messiah, like Charles Manson, the Baha’u’llah, etc., but Satan can duplicate pierce marks when he comes before Jesus. So…

The second way is obedience to His Father’s commandments—He will uphold God’s law.

Remember Jesus did not excuse sin—even saying, "Sin no more." But said it would be easier for the earth to perish than the smallest mark of God’s law change (Matthew 5:17-20). This tells you that Satan will attempt go change God’s law.

But our response is important too. When the Messiah comes, we will worship him in unison, not like those who consider every-day-alike, or those who desecrate the day He blessed (Genesis 2:1-3). That truth is predicted by the prophet Isaiah: “From one Sabbath to another, all mankind shall come to worship before Me, says the LORD” (Ibid. 56:23).

A last day Bible code identifies antichrist and the true Messiah. Read it at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

I can only guess you are talking about the second coming of Jesus Christ. What will happen is that Jesus will come back for the church which we call the rapture. This will happen before the 7 years of tribulation. The man of perdition or anti-christ according to 2 Thess 2:3 will not be revealed until the time of the years of tribulation. The church will not be around when the anti-christ comes on the scene. So if you are here when the anti-christ rises to power to will be in trouble. However, people will still be saved during this time, but they will have to endure horrible things because they did not prepare themselves for the rapture. After the 7 years of tribulation, Christ will return with the church and bring peace. Then the devil and the false prophet will be defeated. Then the 1000 year reign of Christ kingdom will be set up on the earth. It says also at this time the devil will be locked up for a 1000 years. At the end of this 1000 years he will be set loose and gather the armies of the nations for war. This will be the armagedon in which God will come and over through the devil for the last time. If you need the scriptures e-mail me and let me know.

Thats a good question, especially since the bible indicates that even satan will have power to do "miracles." (Rev 13:1-4) Satan is the dragon that gives the beast it's power. But the satan will come is not litteral. It means he will have power over many people because there is so much evil in the world. But there will be no confusion when Jesus comes back. He will come again from heaven and He will have the marks in his hands and feet of the nails from when he was crucified. (Zechariah 13:6) But the best thing you can do is not believe your eyes, but your heart. Pray if your confused, with faith, and God will answer your prayer. That goes for any question.

You will know ... John 10:27 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

Then remember Philippians 4:6 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Lastly remember Proverbs 1:7 How does a man become so wise? The first step is to trust and reverence the Lord!

I bid you peace ... Cinnamon

well, how i would identify them is god would probably be riding on a white horse, or on a cloud. satin would probably be ugly and scary.

Matthew 7:15-23 says"Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves. You will know them by what they produce. people don't pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles,do they? In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit. Any tree that produces bad fruit, is cut down and thrown into a fire. So you will know them by what they produce.

"Not everyone who says to me,'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the person that dose what my father wants. Many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name? Didn't we force out demons and do many miracles by the power and authority of your name? Then I will tell them publicly, " I've never known you. Get away from me you evil people.

i hope this helps you!

If you know Satan must come first, then why would you believe the first figure to stand up and proclaim himself as Lord? Compare what he says and his actions to the bibles teaching, you'll know.

The deceiver will deceive the very elect if it were possible. You won't find the answer here but in your bible with much prayerful study.
When the Messiah returns he will know you.

More to the point: how will you know when a supernatural being arrives? You think it will wear a big sign saying "I am a supernatural being" around it's neck?

One day when many are gone in the blink of an eye including all children, you will know that he came and gone. Satan and the anti-christ will rule the earth for the next seven years following.
