it really doesn't matter how long you wait.. i've gotten two at the same time.. i've gone and got one and then a few hours later got another.. it doensnt matter how long you wait.. its all about how long you want to be taking care of them for.. and how long you can stand that itchy sensation lol..

Hypothetically, you don't need to wait. I am not the type to rush a new piece, but that's not an issue at the moment. My wait has more to do with the availability of my artist & how busy she is.

If you're talking adding to a given tattooed area, that's different. I'm on a once per three week schedule right now until my backpiece is done at probably end of June - I'm thinking of adding faster than she can ink :) . The work is going into the same area so there has to be some healing between work, and 2-3 weeks is what she recommends. I can't seem to find more time then that anyhow, so it works for me.

Yes, it is very addictive! I think I waited two weeks after my first one...then took a break for a couple of years...then got a new one once a month 6 months in a row!

The only physical reason to wait would be if you're planning on getting a tat near the one you just got...or if you have to go back for some touch ups. You have to wait for it to heal...usually 3 or 4 weeks, or until it stops scabbing and peeling...but your artist will have the best advice!!

Welcome to the club! :)

I had mirror image dragons put on my lower back, so I had the first one done, then had the second one done when it was time for the touch up on the first one. Tattoos are adictive (you said that right) so make sure that you really want what you put on your body since its (mostly) a permanent art that you will live with the rest of your life. Personaly I now like to wait a while and its more like a treat when I do get to go. Enjoy your new ink, and your future ink. **** luck!! :)

Its not really a new art form by any means...

But I usually get a new tattoo every 8 months or so just because I take my time perfecting the drawings and designs. Between tattoos usually I get piercings :-D

Only a month or two... ur right it is extremely addicting. At least wait long enough to be sure that ur in love with your next design because ur going to have it forever.

There's really no set amount of time.
You might plan to get one in six weeks
after your first, or just be traveling and
run into an old friend, who just happens
to be a really great artist. Next thing you
know, Wham..You've got a beautiful
Dragon on your right shoulder.
Ink On..................................Ink Is For Life.
