Germination means that a seed breaks dormancy and the embryo begins to grow.

Growth means that the plant gets larger by adding on more cells.

Growth- Growth in plants occurs chiefly at meristems where rapid mitosis provides new cells. As these cells differentiate, they provide new plant tissue
