I keep hearing from Christians that you can identify a *TRUE* Christian by how they live their lives, or by their fruit if you will.

So…

Given the people you know in various religious groups (both here and real world) which religion would you adopt? Or, based on the lives of its adherents which religion has the most going for it?

Personally I’d have to go with one of the Pagan religions. I have found that they are, by in large, intellectually honest, intelligent, creative, moral and giving.

I'm a Freethinker and a Humanist who just so happens to agree with certain aspects of LaVeyan as well as Nietzschean Satanism. I guess that could qualify me as a Satanist although I doubt most LaVeyan or Nietzschean Satanists would agree. I also like certain aspects of Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism mostly the philosophical aspects anyway. I also like certain other aspects of different Pagan religions and Pantheism mainly Scientific Pantheism. I guess you can say I have what some will call "Atheistic views". If there is a higher power aka God then I think quite possibly the only religions that might have it right would be Deism, the Bahai Faith, and maybe quite possibly Sikhism. I have quite a few interests as you can see. I think also that Polytheists tend to be nice people. Unitarian Universalists seem like good people as well as Hindus just to name a few.

I am not religious, because all religion is man-made. All the laws and the way you get to heaven is man-made. Why would anyone pray to Mary to pray for themto God. That doesn't make much sense, does it? Why can't you just pray to God directly. It's not like He doesn't want to hear you, because you're not important enough. There is no where in the Bible that says you need to pray to Mary for her to pray for you to God. So I am a Christian, with no denomination. I will always remain this way forever. I go to Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas. There are also satellite campuses in Miami, Florida, Plano, Texas, Alliance, Dallas Fort Worth, and some others that I don't remember. If you live near any of these places, I would suggest going here. It is not like any religious church you've been to. It's very exciting, up lifting, everyone is very friendly, the music it aswesome, and the sermon is the best. By the way the pastor is Ed Young. I think some people have heard of him who are not Christians.

Comparitively, I'd say atheists have been most honorable and honest, of those I've met, Christians a little less than average on that scale - preachers being some of the worst of all.

Intelluctually honesty - Buddhists and atheists tend to max out that. Fundamentalist are, with no doubt, the absolute worst in this regard.

Pagans, Jews, and Buddhist tend to be the most accepting and loving. Atheists neutral there, Christians below average, sometimes very below average.

Intelligence - I see no differences, on average.

Education - Pagans, Jews, Buddhists, and atheists much higher, on average, than Christians.

I'm Buddhist and atheist.

Buddhism is the closest thing to a search for real truth, without the oppressive dogma. Some Buddhists are even atheists. If it weren't for their prohibition of alcohol drinking, I'd have shaved my head and donned an orange robe long ago.

(Yes, I know all Buddhists aren't monks, and also not all Monks shave their heads and wear orange, I just really like those ones because they are extremely nice people.)

If by "Pagan", you mean Hinduism, I would agree. Without exception, all Hindus I have encountered are tolerant and peaceable, and have an `acceptance` of Christianity that is genuine. They do not evangelise, distribute leaflets, or argue on your doorstep. Hindus behave in many ways that makes Christianity appear hostile by comparison. Buddhism also has very much to commend it.

isn't that variety of pushy? I never push my faith on every physique nor have I ever in my existence carried out so. in case you ask i visit respond to to the perfect of my skill. you won't like what I might desire to declare yet I consistently pray that's the certainty previously I say something approximately my faith, for i visit be held to blame for what I say on the priority or what i do no longer say. And if my faith is blind particularly cases, then the only answer to that's I even have faith that that's real. that's some thing i think in my coronary heart. God bless you.

Quakers (Society of Friends) and the Ba'hai. The current Dalai Lama seems like a wise man.

While Mother Teresa was a very compassionate woman, she was part of a church that opposes birth control, which leads to unwanted and starving kids. I considered her part of the problem.

Paganism at least worships tangible things like the sun and nature.
