My sister decided to mess around with 1.800.NEED.HIM yesterday. The man on the other end of the phone helped her find Jesus. He told her that now she will not be going to hell with the raging homosexuals and child molesters.
Isn't it wrong of people to judge like that? I thought God was the only judge.

No it isn't right, which is one of the reasons I've given up on religion. It says there in the Bible, "Judge not lest ye be judged", yet conservative Christians continue to judge people who do not meet their own moral standards instead of being tolerant and compassionate as they are supposed to be. (I'm not saying they need to be tolerant of child molesters, mind you. One of your examples is a crime and the other isn't, so those are two entirely different things.)

If These Christians are the ones who are going to heaven, I'll gladly go to hell to avoid them.

No it is not right. My sexuality should not be used as a measure of my morals. I am more than that.

It's like me saying heterosexuals are sinners because Hitler was straight. He is the most evil man in history, and of course he's heterosexual, so all heterosexuals must be evil.

I should be judged as good or bad based on what I do, not who I am.

As for your Christian sister, Jesus had bigger things to worry about than homosexuality. The new testament is actually quite vague, and Christians aren't supposed to follow the old testament as law(pretty sure that's the difference between Christians and Jews).

Plus the old testament is filled with any number of other things I can use to justify any point of view that I like. I recall one passage that says that if a child is rebellious they must be stoned at the town gates, yet we do not stone children when they rebel.

Also there's inaccuracies in the old testament, from the 2 different creation stories to the 2 accounts of Moses and the flood, one says the animals went in 2 by 2, one says 7 by 7, some people claim the 7 by 7 went in to feed the other carnivores, but really there's a lot of animals that're poisonous to eat, so that doesn't make a lick of sense.

The old testament is to be used as parables and the new testament is to be followed by Christians. And Jesus had a lot bigger things to deal with than homosexuality. Because people around him were sinning like there was no tomorrow, and oh wait, they were heterosexual mostly.

I guess heterosexuality doesn't automatically make one sin free. So people shouldn't judge lest they be judged.

Yes it is wrong to judge people like that, particularly for a Christian to judge another who is not a Christian. Paul wrote to one of the early churches to let them know that they cannot do this. We Christians are to judge each brother, and sister in Christ but the world? No!
That is up to God as you have said.
We Christians judge each other to help each other stay true to our Lord. If we pass judgement on non Christians then we would have to leave them alone. If we did that then we would be all alone. We could not live like that. So Paul (formerly Saul) made it quite clear that judging others outside of our Lord's church is a no no!
It is wrong because they do not know what we know so we cannot expect others to live as we do. Only when one is repentant, accepts the way of our Lord can we make judgements. And that is only when it is needed by the one who is with us, and making a wrong decision.
Many Christians don't realize that we are no better than the rest of the world. The only difference is our faith, this is our salvation but only by God's grace. Faith in God's grace is what sets us apart; because believe me darlin it isn't our goodness that cuts the grade.
Our faith without actions do not cut it with God either. We do have to act on our faith as much as humanly possible. The key word here is humanly.
As for judgements? Don't despair darlin. God will take care of everything.

I find his method a bit odd. It's the fear tactic.

Scripture says the following...

I Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.

So I don't know if this is judging as much as fact. There it is plain as can be.

I find it amazing that people focus only on homosexuality. It talks about a lot of other things too. This is why I continually ask the Lord to transform me into his image and to keep me from the snares of the enemy. It's not just homosexuality people....

Why did they even bring that up? I'm a christian and I believe that many different kinds of people will be in heaven...even people who led homosexual lifestyles on earth. Oh, by the way, I'm a Christian. I don't know the number you called, but I would suggest finding a better compassionate source. If I truely thought someone was going to hell I wouldn't be celebrating it.
And you're right, God is the only judge....people have no idea whats going on in other people's mind/hearts.

It's not okay if they believe the bible. The bible says not only that the god in it is the judge, but that those who judge are not judged by him, but instead by the judgement (the measure) they have used on others.

So, if you judge all others as going to hell for disagreeing with you, a biblically literalist view says you're not being judged by god, but as a person going to hell for disagreeing with others.

Matthew 7:1-3 is very often mistranslated as "Judge not, or you will be judged, &c." but it is literally "Judge not or you will NOT be judged (by god) but by the measure (judgement) you use you shall be judged instead. If you're Christian, the threat of NOT being judged by god should be seen as far worse than the threat that you will be judged, because according to Christianity, everyone is judged.

Radical Christians are the bane of our religious beliefs. Granted, we take a narrow view on homosexuality, but it doesn't mean that we should condemn those who are confused or have an alternative lifestyle. Everyone has sinned before, and Jesus himself said "Let those who have no sin cast the first stone". That was a lesson that no man should judge another. (God knows why we have courts and judges.)

I believe that if people say such things, they can't call themselves Christians, as they've violated one of the teachings of Jesus by openly condemning and judging people, while using religion to scare. In a way, they're using God's name in vain. I would like to believe that these are the people who are most likely to burn in hell.

Is telling the truth judging? I agree with you, nobody can tell you that someone is going to hell, only God knows that. But is the bible says that homosexual won´t go to heaven, doesn´t it make it really clear?

The thing is that to be save you need to accept Jesus like your Savior, and when that happens you must follow his rules.

Does it mean that the christian don't commit sins? No, we do sin a lot, the thing is that we REALLY regret it, and then we go on, trying to live every day like Jesus did.

Take care.
PD. Forgive my english, I´m still learning.

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Matthew 7:12).”
In a word, not. It is not OK for Christians to judge others.
1Cor 6:9-10
Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.
But there it is made plain and clear that homosexuality is not a biblical idea either.

As Christians we are not supposed to presume who will be saved and who will not as God being a sovereign God makes that decision. However, we do know by God's Word proclaimed by His Church that there are certain requirements that must be fulfilled through our obedience to Him. The most important of which is that we must be free of sin to enter heaven for the written Word says that sin and God cannot coexist. Through the sacrifice of our Lord we can repent of our sin and through His grace be forgiven of our sins. It is clear that homosexuality is a sin but it is also a sin from which one may repent and not be judged to an eternity in the lake of fire.

That being said, there were additional errors in the statement made to your sister. The fact that she believes in Him at her initial salvation does not mean that she cannot go to hell. Salvation is a process and not a onetime intellectual assent to belief. It is also important that she be Baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit to share in the New Covenant as part of His Church. It is the state of her soul at death which determines ones salvation. As the Word teaches and His Church, one must persevere in belief to be saved.

You are correct, He was wrong and God is the only judge.

In Christ

God is the only Judge. And He does speak out against homosexuality in His Word.
