Why do people come here legally or illegally?

it's about opportunities to have a better life, that most wouldn't even get in their Home country...

I have asked myself that SAME question, and never did come to a conclusion. They do it in many other countries too, leaving the middle east, italy, where they cant work, etc...I have never been a wealthy american, but have never felt the need to go to anothers land and stay permanently. It doesnt make sense to me either. I think you should love the land where you are. I think many middle easterners came here for a dream, to buy gas stations without taxes, lands, etc..also some to get away from the violence and fear of death, and disrespect of LIFE in many other countries !!!!!!( like violations of laws not being enforced, and honor killings, maiming women, the law thing being there in many other countries not just the ME)!!!!

Both for the same reason: to obtain a better life.
The fact that America is the greatest country in the world is not just a cliche. People know that they can prosper in this country.

Opportunity. The ability to achieve anything that you want to work for. Freedom of speech and religion. The right to live your life as you see fit, as long as you aren't hurting anyone else.

Legals - to better their lives for children, spouses, family, etc.
Illegals - to mooch off our government

$Money$.Any one can make money and get ahead in this country if they work hard enough.In other countries,opportunities are not as abundant as in the USA.
