i have two 14 week old beagles and the eat each other poop.why?

Some dogs do this for no reason. You may be feeding them a poorer quality of food. With poor quality food, a lot of it is not digested properly, and yes, comes straight out the butt! So, they think it is food! I would try changing your food, or there is something at the pet store that you can feed them that deters them from their poop. Or just clean it up as they go!!

Dog poo contains undigested protein, and to your dogs it is just another food source! Get them checked out by your vet just in case its due to a dietary deficiency, but the best way of stopping this is to pick up after your dogs straight away. Feeding them pineapple is also supposed to discourage them.

This is really common in scent hounds. The best thing you can do is clean it up ASAP. Frozen is irresistable. My dogs get premium food, are healthy and a balanced diet. Mysteries of Life.........

Probably because they saw their mother eat their poop. Mother dogs eat their puppies poop - not sure why, but they do.

My dog eats his poop too. It is really gross, and I try to stop him, but he still gets to it before I can throw it away. He even throws up and all after he eats it (actually he throws up when he eats grass too). I think that is the biggest thing I hate seeing him do. :(

heard many reasons from... its a nasty habit to being a vitamin deficiency. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they dont do it. they also see pills that make it taste worse than it already does. it works for some. DONT LET THEM DO IT. IT CAN MAKE THEM GO BLIND!
