No. You cannot get this from your parents. You have to go through some ultra traumatic event to get post traumatic stress disorder. I had a REALLY bad case of it from being beaten up by the police in a jail cell. I didn't even commit a crime except drink a beer in public. Post traumatic stress disorder.... TRUE PTSD is the worst feeling imaginable. Trust me.... you'd rather you had HIV than PTSD.

You obviously don't know what PTSD is if your asking that. The word post, means after. So after going through something traumatic, you could possibly get PTSD. Everyone gets angry and irritated at times, it doesn't mean anything.

no its not hereditary u can get it after going though a traumatic crise and something that put a lot of stress on u.
