First, that's "Buddy Jesus" from "Dogma" (a film that offended a load of people)
Second, one could take this as trenchant social commentary, as we are using an image of Christ to hawk goods.
Third, I remember a beautiful drawing from the late 60s-early 70s called "Laughing Jesus" and people lost their minds on that one.
Someone will always be offended

I don't know if I would be offended or not. Jesus spirit is everywhere...even in Walmart. However, I would think that it may be being used as a means to express the money angle of churches today. People should not be offended because in many ways it would be true that churches are in to the big money thing as are the movie studios etc. I am not saying that it is all about money but in a lot of ways I am fairly certain it is.
Keep in mind however, that a church is not God/Jesus. They are a man made institution with man made failings. They are a good place to get to learn a little about Christ and God but it takes a very personal relationship with God/Jesus to bring out the absolute truth of who they are.

God has a sense of humor too. I was driving down the road singing ( by myself) in the car. I was asking God how I sounded and I drove past a skunk. I changed my pitch and sang again. I asked again. I drove past another skunk. I laughed my butt off. True story. Keep laughing it is a gift from God.

Why would I find that offensive? As a proud Christian and even prouder Walmart employee, it makes me happy to know that Jesus patronize's my store! Perhaps I will be lucky enough to change his oil or tires one day!! (I work as a mechanic there...my parole officer found me the gig, after I was released.) PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!!!

Well, there's not very many things I'd find offensive in the first place so I might not be the one to ask. Plus I also tend to find offensive things funny.
I find it cute.

I'm a Christian and it's not offensive to me. Kinda silly..what is offensive is when somoene spells "XIANS" or "XMAS". That is clearly an offense to Christians.
