Until we put the doctrine of God (Word of God) before the doctrine (traditions) of men, the truth will never be known.

I tell you truth, but you will not believe, it is not my truth but the the true bread from heaven, which was given to the world.

200300 days is the day of the Ascension, it is the day spoke of as the day he was glorified. Monday April 20, 33 AD.
The Day of Resurrection was April 19, 33 AD
The Day Jesus died was April 16, 33 AD Thursday, the Day Preparation

But you would rather believe the traditions of men, that are so strong that you take their word over the Word of God.

Look it up on line or in the Good News, but look it up !!!!

Because you cannot have Easter WITHOUT the Resurrection! That's what Easter is all about! If there had been no Resurrection of Christ, there would have been no celebration! Christ had to die first, before he could be raised, right? The high point of the celebration is the first day of the week when he arose. (In Jewish terminology, the 2nd day after Shabat, or, to Western people today, Sunday.) You say it was Thursday when Christ died but there was a double Shabbat that year so some celebrated Passover on Thursday night (as did Jesus and the apostles), but the Priests celebrated it later. So, on Thursday night Jesus was in Gethsemane, through to Friday morning when he was tried in the small hours. As Shabat started at 6 pm on Friday, he had to be dead and off the cross before then. He was. At 3 pm. So he was dead part of Friday, all day Saturday, and a miniscule amount of time on Sunday.

And the spiritual 'party' did not stop even after he ascended to heaven, for the Christians stayed together in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit was sent at Pentecost and their joy knew no bounds. All Christians know that. We don't have a problem with it.

That is why I recently posted a question, "Can we rescue the Resurrection from the Easter Bunny?"

Easter happens every year, it's marked on our calendars. The resurrection never happened. It's only claim to fame is a book that says people can command mountains to jump in the sea.

What you actually mean is "believing the delusions of religion" versus belieiving the evidence of science that someone who is dead for three days does not ressurect as all adults should know, and ignoring the much simpler and rational explanation that Jesus body was taken away.

if your question is 530 questions about easter less then 10 about the resurrection, Why?
then my answer is because people are finally starting to ask questions that they deserve answer to. they want to know what bunnies and eggs have to do with jesus. many have learned on this site that easter (along with christmas and many other christian things) are actually pagan traditions incorporated into christianity to help convert the pagans. this makes them wonder why easter (and other things) are celebrated in their faith. it also makes them question their faith, since the bible clearly states that paganistic practises are evil yet the churches eagerly take part in them.
just my 2 cents.

The exact date and time are not necessary! That misses the entire point. The love of god, the forgiveness of humankind, where are these ideas in your question?

521 of those were about why there is an Easter bunny. I know because I answered most of them (I'm a pagan).

why don't you quote the hundreds of scrpitures selectively banned from the bible that say jesus never died on the cross, but was near death? you can't be resurected if you never died...
